Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 22, 2026 · Effective for meepmorp.app, Melzi, and the Meep Morp Social Media Publisher (“SMP”)

Money Marathon, LLC, a Utah limited liability company (“Meep Morp,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates meepmorp.app and the Meep Morp family of apps, including Melzi (video organization and editing workspace) and the Social Media Publisher (free multi-platform posting tool). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, how it’s stored and processed, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

If you don’t agree with this policy, please don’t use our services. If you have questions, contact us at hello@meepmorp.app.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account information

When you sign up, we (via AWS Cognito, our authentication provider) collect your email address, a hashed password or federated login identifier, and basic profile details you provide (name, brand/workspace name). We don’t see or store your raw password.

1.2 Your content

Video files, thumbnails, captions, and related metadata you upload or import (“Content”) through the web app, desktop app, or API. This includes files you drag in, sync from your NLE (video editor), or capture on a connected device.

1.3 Third-party platform credentials

If you connect a social platform (YouTube, Meta/Facebook/Instagram, TikTok, or X) to publish through SMP, we receive OAuth 2.0 access and refresh tokens from that platform — never your platform password. We store these tokens encrypted, scoped to the specific brand/account you connected them to, and use them only to publish Content you explicitly select and to report publish status back to you.

1.4 Usage & analytics data

We use Umami (self-hosted, on our own infrastructure) for website and web-app analytics, and Aptabase (privacy-first, aggregated telemetry) for the desktop app. Both are configured to avoid cross-site tracking cookies and do not sell or share data with advertising networks. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar ad-tech trackers, and we do not use PostHog.

1.5 Payment information

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe via our billing partner, lostnewbs.org. We receive confirmation of payment and your subscription tier — we never receive or store your full card number.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the service (store and serve your Content, run your workspace).
  • To run AI processing you request or that the product performs automatically (see Section 3).
  • To publish Content to social platforms you’ve explicitly connected and authorized.
  • To send account, billing, and service-related communications (and, if you opt in, product updates).
  • To monitor performance, debug issues, and improve the product, using aggregated/anonymized analytics.
  • To detect abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information or your Content to third parties, and we do not use your video Content to train third-party advertising or general-purpose AI models.

3. AI Processing

Melzi’s automated features (transcription, translation, summarization, tagging, and social-caption generation) run through our internal AI API gateway, which routes each job to whichever model can handle it:

  • Local, self-hosted models (e.g. Whisper for transcription) running on our own infrastructure, when available — your Content never leaves our infrastructure for these jobs.
  • Cloud AI providers (e.g. OpenAI) as a fallback for transcription, translation, summarization, and tagging when local capacity isn’t available. Only the specific transcript/text or file needed for that job is sent, under that provider’s standard API data-handling terms (not used by them to train models on our traffic, per their API terms at time of writing).

Some AI processing (e.g. proxy/keyframe generation, local tagging) can run entirely on your own device via the desktop app, without any upload to our servers.

4. Storage & Retention

Your Content is stored in a tiered system:

  • Hot tier — actively-used files live on our cloud provider’s persistent storage for fast access.
  • Cold tier — files inactive for roughly 14–30 days are automatically archived to Backblaze B2 (encrypted object storage) and retrieved on demand when you access them again.
  • Free-tier storage limits — if your account exceeds its plan’s storage allowance and files are not retained, those files are deleted from hot storage directly; they are never copied to the cold archive.

We retain your account data and Content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your Content and personal account data within 30 days, except where we’re required to retain limited records for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes (e.g. billing records). OAuth tokens for disconnected or deleted accounts are revoked and deleted immediately.

5. Who We Share Data With

We share data only as needed to run the service:
